Juliette Elie

Born in France. Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. Graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, France (DNSEP, 2010) and from the Concordia University in Montreal (Canada), Juliette’s works have been presented in solo shows – Baudoin Lebon gallery (Paris, 2016), Agnès b. (2014), Scene Nationale 61 (Alençon, 2014), Villa Cameline (Nice, 2012); and in collective shows such as Circulations, a festival for young European photography at CENTQUATRE-PARIS (2015), Lunes Révolues, an event of Palais de Tokyo (Paris,2015), A distance convenable in UnderConstruction gallery (Paris, 2015), FIAC (Paris, 2013). She made some collaborations with mathematician Laurent Derobert for a series called Miracles and with Brazilian composer Philippe Baden Powell for a video performance at Nuit Blanche 2015 (Paris).  After participating in the Young International Art Fair (Paris, 2015), Juliette won the FOTOPRIZE and had her works exhibited at the Fotofever Art Fair (Paris), in November 2015. Her works have been the subject of several publications such as Art Press, LeMonde.fr, Le Figaro, Marianne, France Culture, FotoMania (Bulgaria).
