Born in Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), lives between Berlin and Porto Alegre. She holds a PhD in Visual Poetics from PPGAV-UFRGS and a Master’s Degree in Communication and Semiotics from PUC/SP. Graduated in Performing Arts at DAD / UFRGS. Studied Performance at UDK – University of Arts in Berlin and did also a PhD exchange at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts- Hoschulle Hanover – Germany.
Andressa is represented by Mamute Gallery, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She is also the manager of BRONZE Residency and Península Gallery in the same city. Curator and educator of the PPPP – Public Peninsula Performance Programme – awarded twice by the #Juntospelacultura FAC ProculturaRS, by FUMPROARTE, Atelier Livre Poa and Azorean Prize as the best project for dissemination and cultural innovation.
She participated in residencies, special projects and exhibitions in different places around the world, such as the action-installation AVESSO, in partnership with the artist Maurício Ianês at Iberê Camargo Foundation, Porto Alegre, 2018. She was also awarded the INSURGÊNCIAS AWARD, a collective residence at AgoraCollective, Berlin (curated by Daniela Labra and Paz Ponce).
